The power of social media: $30,000 to Canadian food banks

If anyone understands how to leverage the power of social media for good, it’s Sybil Verch, Executive Vice President and Head of Private Client Solutions at Raymond James Ltd.

Sybil recently granted $30,000 from her RJCF Charitable Giving Fund, Verch Charitable Fund, to three Canadian food banks.

In April she posted on her instagram @wealthylife_sv and for every repost, she earmarked $5 and up to $1000 per day for Canadian food banks.

“In this time of isolation, I was inspired by my son to have a little fun and ‘virtually’ try something new every day for the month of April.”

Charitable Giving Funds like Sybil’s provide an opportunity for Raymond James Ltd. clients and advisors to do good, and provide funds to organizations that need it in times of crisis.

Her motivation? Sybil says, “We are thinking of the many people across the country struggling to put food on their table and thought this would be a fun way to give back.”
