3Macs colleagues in Montreal climb together in annual Tuques Bleues benefit
March 1, 2017
On February 16, 2017, 3Macs colleagues attended the 20th annual Tuques Bleues benefit in support of environmental conservation programs for Mount Royal, a mountain immediately west of downtown Montreal that gave the city its name. With a 200-hectare park that occupies part of the mountain and includes the highest spot in the city (234 metres), it is fondly referred to as the jewel of Montreal.
The exciting outdoor event brought together 400 snowshoers and 75 runners, some of which participated in a friendly competition to climb Mount Royal. Upon reaching the summit, everyone gathered at Mount Royal Chalet, where they enjoyed fine food, drink, music, entertainment, and a magnificent view of Montreal’s skyline. The event was a great success, raising a total of $145,000.
“It was an amazing team building experience,” said Rick Hart, Investment Advisor. “The hike brought us all together and it was especially rewarding that we all made it to the top together.” Rick is a long-time supporter of Les amis de la montagne, the charitable organization that serves to protect and enhance Mount Royal.
